Project: Branding & Pattern Design

Geist is a premium sportswear line with products appealing to avid hunters and outdoors-people. The products incorporate the highest levels of quality, engineering and technology to keep the wearer extremely comfortable and invisible to wildlife. Geist was created by Billy Busch Jr., a descendant of a long line of hunters and conservationists in the St. Louis area with deep German roots. Billy’s experience in the outdoors have led to revelations about the way outdoor clothing should be designed to fit the specific situations in which it’s used. The wearers of these pieces truly feel at one with nature and vanish into their surroundings.

After the pattern is finalized, I change colors and textures for different terrain

and make the pattern detailed and repeatable to make sure it will print correctly

I always start with the terrain and a hand drawn sketch with colors. Then I move to the computer to refine colors and shapes.
